Fashion Show Volunteer Opportunities! 

Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza will be presenting a runway fashion show. On Thursday, September 12, Judy Gelzinis Donovan is presenting her fashion show, Culture Club: Up-cycled Fashion from Far Away Places.

FASHION SHOW ASSISTANTS (Limit 4 each day) (guild membership not required)
Duties: Press and Dress! Assist the professional fashion show coordinator in the preparation and presentation of the show.  Fashion Show Assistants may register for a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $35 value) at the 2024 PNQE.

FASHION SHOW MODELS (Limit 12 each day)(guild membership not required)
Duties: Runway modeling (experience not required).  Fitting requirements:  woman of any age, height and varying dress sizes.  Models have a choice of a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $35 value) at the 2024 PNQE.. 

JUDGING ASSISTANTS – Quilt Competition (Limit 2)
Duties:  Assist the judging team (this may fulfill requirements for certain organizations toward judging certification). Starts with a briefing and includes a complimentary lunch. Volunteers for this assignment will receive a $65 credit to be used towards workshops or lectures. Please note:  If you enter a quilt into this competition, you are not eligible for this volunteer position.  

Duties: Be available at designated areas of the quilts on display to assist persons who wish to “take a closer look” at a specific quilt, garment or textile. There are two, four-hour shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to choose from. Volunteers receive a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $35 value for each four-hour shift they commit to, or a complimentary full day workshop (up to a $70 value) for two shifts. There is a limit of two shifts per volunteer. A pair of white cotton gloves is required.
