Double-pointed Dresdens wrapped over the quilt’s edge puts a new spin on this long-time favorite! Learn Susan’s tips for turning wedge points and for using a foundation sew & flip technique to assemble perfectly flat rings. Demos for quilting and embellishing at home add greatly to the charm of this modern, and dynamic Dresden quilt! (19" square).

Required class kit, $2 payable to the instructor in class, includes a starched, pre-printed foundation.

Students to Provide
• KIT - Pre-printed foundation fabric to be purchased in class for $2
• Dynamic Dresdens book by Susan K Cleveland (may be purchased in class for $24). This design is based on the Ripples pattern in the book. (optional)
• Dresden fabrics: large ring: (4) 4.5" x 14" strips; small ring: (3) 3.5" x 14" strips, OR longer strips of fewer fabrics ... Results are best working with lightly starched fabrics.
• 50-60wt cotton thread to coordinate with Dresdens
• 18° wedge ruler OR template plastic - Dynamic Dresdens 18° wedge ruler may be purchased in class for $14 or non-slip for $26
• Prairie Pointer tool to turn Dresden points - optional, may be purchased in class for $24
• Pins
• Small scissors or thread trimmers
• Rotary cutting equipment (cutter, mat, ruler...at least 14”)
Sewing machine etc.:
• Sewing machine, bobbins, bed extension (if you have one), sewing machine manual. A machine with adjustable needle positions is very desirable.
• Zig-zag needle plate for your machine (not single hole)
• Open-toe foot for machine (For Bernina, the open-toe foot is #20 or #20D.)
• 70/10 or 80/12 microtex, jeans/denim, sharps or universal machine needle
