Rachel DK Clark - Seminole Piecing
Watsonville, CA
Rachel D.K. Clark is a contemporary folk artist, teacher, and lecturer who comes from a long line of sewers, beginning with her great-grandmother. She has been doing wearable art for over 40 years and teaching on the national circuit for thirty years. Eclectic fabric mixes, vibrant designs, and her keen sense of humor characterize her work. While her work can be whimsical, political, or a personal statement, it always reflects her love of traditional quilt making.
"I am a folk artist who is passionate about design, color, and pattern. My mediums of choice are wearable art and quilt making. I enjoy working with fabrics and expressing myself through my creations. My inspiration comes from the world around me and my life experiences, as I love telling stories through my artwork."
