Meryl Ann Butler has taught color theory in workshops and at the university level since 1974. She won MAQF's Best in Show (2026), First Place and Viewer's Choice (2025), and First Place (2024) for wearable art and Best Use of Color - Wall Quilt. She is the author of hundreds of articles and two quilt books. She apprenticed for seven years with a student of Norman Rockwell and shares secrets of classic color and value methods rarely taught in quilt classes.
