Continuous-Curve Quilting: Strategies for Efficient Quilting
Half-Day Workshop
1 pm - 4 pm, Saturday, March 6
Continuous-curve quilting is one of the most useful skills for creating beautiful, efficient quilting with fewer starts, stops, and thread breaks.
In this class, we’ll explore practical strategies for planning continuous quilting paths through blocks, borders, and repeated designs. You’ll learn how to look at a quilt and identify the most efficient stitching route, how to travel through a design without unnecessary backtracking, and how to keep your quilting flowing smoothly from one area to the next.
We’ll also cover ways to adapt continuous-curve techniques to different block styles, how to maintain consistency and rhythm, and how thoughtful quilting paths can save time while still producing polished, professional results.
Whether you quilt custom work, traditional piecing, or simply want to become more efficient at the longarm, this class will help you develop a stronger eye for quilting paths and the confidence to keep moving.
Quilt smarter, reduce unnecessary stops, and let the design flow.
All Levels
Required class kit, $45 payable to the instructor in class, includes pre-printed fabric for top (blocks, borders, shapes), backing fabric, batting, background, marker, ruler, and printouts. Also available for optional purchase in class: various quilting rulers, $10-$100.
