Needle-felt Dragon
Half-Day Workshop
9 am - 12 pm, Thursday, February 26
Needle-felt a sweet little dragon to keep you company as you sew - he can even be used as a pincushion! We'll start with a pre-felted wool base and add the extra features: head, neck, wings, and spiky tail. Each student's dragon will have its own unique personality. A great project for both the confi dent beginner and the more experienced felter.
All Levels
Required class kit, $20 payable to the instructor in class, includes all wool fibers, pre-felted wool core base for body, 2 black beads for eyes, pattern, and instructions. Also available for purchase in class: Single felting needle ($2.75), 3-needle felting tool ($17.00), 2 leather fi nger-guards ($8.00), 2" foam pad for needle-felting ($5.00), refi ll felting needles for multi-needle felting tool ($10.75) Please email Vickie before class if you need supplies to be sure I have enough extra supplies at annieskeepsakes@carolina.rr.com.
Students to Provide
1 (or more) single felting needle size 36 or 38
a multi-needle felting tool (I like the 3-needle pink pen by Clover)
2" thick sturdy foam pad for needle-felting at least 7" square
long thin needle and black thread to sew on bead eyes
a few pins
paper scissors
optional: finger guards for needle-felting, band-aids in case you poke yourself.
