Ghost Quilting - Shapes & Critters
Half-Day Workshop
1 pm - 4 pm, Friday, February 27
Learn how to expertly create ghost shapes in the negative space of your quilt top, adding an extra layer of interest, thought and depth to your design. By getting the inspiration from the elements already present in your quilt, you'll create a stunning visual effect that will leave onlookers mesmerized. In this class, Julia will guide you through the techniques and tips needed to master this unique quilting style, perfect for adding a unique and whimsical touch to any quilt design. Join us and discover the magic of ghostly shapes in your quilting!
All Levels
Required class kit, $35 payable to the instructor in class, includes fabric for top and back, batting, thread, small straight quilting ruler, handouts, flower/leaf templates, creature templates.
Students to Provide
- Pencil and a notebook for taking notes, doodling, and sketching
- Small scissors or snips
- Marking pen (water soluble preferred)
Available for purchase in class: Various quilting rulers for longarms and low shank machines, $10-$99.
