Introduction to Interleave
Half-Day Workshop
1 pm - 4 pm, Friday, February 27
Interleave is the hottest new thing in piecing. We'll interleave 2 blocks to make a very cool project. You can turn this into a mini quilt, tote, pillow, etc. It will leave your friends asking "how did you do that?" We'll learn the foundations first, then see how the interplay of simple shapes can make simply amazing patchwork. Once you learn the basics, the sky is the limit with this technique.
All Levels
Required class kit, $10 payable to the instructor in class, includes the workshop pattern and interfacing.
Students to Provide
Finished size approximately 18” x 18”
Materials:
4 fat quarters for the top of the project. Fabrics must have high contrast for the design to pop. Solids or small-scale prints suggested. Substitute 1 large scale print for drama!

1 fat quarter for backing
¼ yard for binding or facing.
Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order
