Half-Day Workshop
9 am - 12 pm, Saturday, February 28
This quilt is an invitation to try some improvisationally pieced blocks to create a unique, graphic and colorful quilt. We’ll discuss scale, repetition, texture, constraints, and intuition to help you build your improvisation vocabulary and make this dynamic quilt. Work from scraps or fat quarters, all work well!
All Levels
Required class kit, $12 payable to the instructor in class, includes the workshop pattern.
Finished size as shown above: 60” x 84”
Students to Provide
Materials
25 fat quarters or ¼ yards of solid fabric
⅝ yard binding fabric
5 yards of backing fabric
Batting, at least 70” x 94”
**batting, binding, and backing not needed in class
Supplies
Rotary cutting supplies including rotary cutter with new blade, mat, 12 ½” ruler and 24” ruler helpful
Thread
Scissors, pins, seam ripper, sewing clips, and anything else you can’t live without!
