Beginning Foundation Piecing
Half-Day Workshop
1 pm - 4 pm, Thursday, February 26
Learn the fundamentals of foundation/paper piecing making the Pineapple Block. Tips and tricks for making perfect blocks every time. This block is so versatile; scraps are traditional but if you want a modern look, color-play has endless possibilities. It will all be discussed in this intro class.
Beginner Level
Required class kit, $10 payable to the instructor in class, includes Foundations (3 blocks) and detailed instructions. Plus a "Grippy Straight Edge." Please contact deb@ezpiecing.com prior to the class to reserve your kit.
Students to Provide
Sewing machine & accessories
Fabric strips 1 3/4" wide in varying lengths; 4 1/2" being the shortest and 8" the longest. Longer strips can be used and cut to length in class. Plus several scraps for block centers and corners, measuring at least 8" x 8".
Cutting mat,
rotary cutters,
rulers,
