Full-Day Workshop
9 am - 4 pm, Friday, February 27
In this class, we will make a wallhanging in the style of Yaacov Agam. Agam is a sculptor and one of the most famous living artists. His work is known for movement and color (kinetic art) and speaks to quilters. In the class, we use the collage technique to create our piece. It is a fun and relaxing class!
All Levels
Required class kit, $24 payable to the instructor in class, includes one yard of background fabric and one yard of Lite Steam a Seam 2.
Students to Provide
1. Students need to bring 30 different color solids in size 4” x 6”. Please bring a range of colors like 4 blues, 5 reds, some oranges, etc. Any color combination is good. You can already add the Lite Steam a Seam 2 to the solids. That would save a lot of time in class. IMPORTANT WARNING: Only Lite Steam a Seam 2 will work for this class. Anything else will not. If you are not sure if it is Lite Steam a Seam 2, please bring only the fabric.
2. Medium-size scissors. I recommend the Karen Kay Buckley scissors, the blue ones.
3. Rotary mat
4. Rotary Cutter
5. Ruler. Any ruler that lets the student cut .5” strips (no longer than 6”) is fine. If you have the mini Stripology ruler, bring it to class as this works great. I will have some for sale as well).
6. Optional: Little trash bags.
Optional: Students can order a kit with 30 solids for $40.00. These solids will already have fusible attached to them, which will save a lot of time in class. If interested in this kit, please contact Carly, studiocarlymul@gmail.com before the class to order this and she will bring your kit.
