 We Are Seeking to Staff Volunteer Positions at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival! Pre-Registration is required for all volunteers

Volunteer positions will be filled as commitments are received.


JUDGING ASSISTANTS: (Quilt and Wearable Competitions - Limited to 4 Volunteers Total) Duties: Assist the judging team (this may fulfill requirements for certain organizations toward judging certification). Starts with a breakfast briefing and includes a complimentary lunch. Volunteers Receive: a $55 credit that can only be used towards workshops or lectures. Please note: If you enter into this competition, you are not eligible for this volunteer position.

FASHION SHOW ASSISTANTS: (Limit 2) Duties: Press and Dress! Assist the professional fashion show coordinator in the preparation and presentation of the show.  Fashion Show Assistants may register for a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $40 value) or two lectures tickets.

FASHION SHOW MODELS: (Limit 10) Duties: Runway modeling (experience not required).  Fitting requirements:  woman of any age, height and varying dress sizes.  Models may register for a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $40 value) or two lecture tickets.

EXHIBITION HOST/HOSTESS: (Limited to 28 Volunteers) Duties: Be available at designated areas of quilts on display. You will Assist attendees who wish to “take a closer look” at the quilt displays. There are two four-hour shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to choose from.  There is also one shift on Wednesday night. Volunteers Will Receive: a complimentary half-day workshop (up to a $40 value) or two complimentary lectures for each four-hour shift they commit to, or a complimentary full day workshop (up to a $75 value) for two shifts. (Wednesday night volunteers receive one complimentary lecture ticket) There is a limit of two shifts per volunteer. A pair of white cotton gloves is required and not provided. Please note: You should plan on arriving at the registration desk 10 minutes before your shift.
