Layered Fabric Portraiture
6-Hour Workshop
10 am - 4 pm EDT, Friday, June 26
We will create a work of art using a cut-away process, layering each fabric on top of the previous piece of fabric to expose all of the fabrics underneath each layer.
We will discuss the best photos for the students' projects and a little bit on how to create a pattern.
All Levels
Students to Provide
5-7 gradated fabrics from light to dark (Fat Quarters will work)
1 1/2 yards of Heat N Bond Lite, Wonder Under, or double-sided fusible of your choice (No Steam A Seam Lite 2)
Small Pointed Tip Scissors (I use Kai 51 00 series with a curved tip)
Fine Point Sharpie or Ink pen
Straight Pins
Small Foam Core Board (that will accommodate an 11"x 14" project)
Pattern (Supplied by the Instructor) - will be emailed to students
