EPP Unscripted: Design, Piece, and Make It Your Own
6-Hour Workshop
10 am - 4 pm EST, Friday, January 22
Break away from the pattern and discover a more personal approach to English Paper Piecing. In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the complete process of creating an original EPP design—from the first sketch to a stitchable composition. Using a simple sheet of paper as their starting point, students will develop their own design, transform it into usable paper templates, explore fabric placement and visual movement, and begin bringing their composition together through traditional EPP techniques.
Along the way, Michael demystifies the design process and encourages students to experiment without worrying about perfection. With an emphasis on approachable techniques, creative decision-making, and learning through the process, students will leave with an original work in progress and, more importantly, a repeatable method for designing their own EPP projects long after the workshop ends.
