Dancing Xs Quilt
6-Hour Workshop

The Dancing X Quilt is a perfect introduction to Patricia Belyea’s Inserted Curves technique. In this workshop you learn how to insert two curved lines into a 12” square of fabric. Your curves are of your own design and are perfectly flat! To make the quilt, you sew 6 blocks of one color combination and 6 blocks of another color combination for a checkerboard composition. Final size is 33” x 44”.

Sewing Tools & Supplies:
Sewing machine and gear—such as thread, ripper etc.
Fine pins (highly recommend Clover Fine Patchwork Pins #2507)
Good fabric scissors, paper scissors
Cutting tools—24” or larger cutting mat, 24” grid ruler, rotary cutter
Pencil; eraser; Prismacolor Premier colored pencils or fabric marking pens
Freezer paper
Iron and ironing board
Fabrics:
Two background fabrics, with large motifs that play well together — 1 yard each
Two contemporary solids that contrast and complement the background fabrics — 3/4 yard each
