Do you have a young person in your life that is curious about quilting? Or would you like to introduce a young person to the world of quilting? Quiltfest Lancaster presents a great opportunity for your budding quilter to learn from Pattern Designer, Rachel Rossi, and Quilts for Kids founder, Linda Arye. Students will learn basic skills by creating simple quilt tops that will then be donated to Quilts for Kids. They will have a fun and informative learning experience about selecting fabrics, basic sewing machine skills, and ironing. Come join us, help a child in need, and make special memories with your loved one!

Beginner level.

Materials List: Class fee is $10. All class fees will be donated to Quilts for Kids. If you would like to pay it forward, please feel free to give an additional donation directly to Quilts for Kids so that your quilt can be shipped to the children. Youth workshop participants are NOT required to pay the $20 registration fee. Supplies: Scissors, Pins. All other materials will be provided by Quilts for Kids. All quilt tops made in class will be donated to Quilts for Kids to be finished by volunteers and sent to hospitals for children in need. 

Each class has limited seats available. Pre-register to reserve a seat early. Onsite sign up will also be available at quilt show registration desk.  

IMPORTANT NOTE: The class will be divided into a younger and an older group. Youths under 14 must be accompanied by a guardian for the entire duration of the class. All guardians must pay general admission at the door. For general admission to Quiltfest Lancaster ages, 16 and younger are admitted free.

Please be sure to include any additional notes about your child if necessary (i.e. medical conditions, mobility issues, etc.)
