RaNae Merrill - Free-Motion Quilting

Teaching free-motion quilting—especially to beginners—is RaNae’s superpower! She found her calling as a professional quilter after previous careers as a pianist, a photographer, and a travel writer. These days she satisfies her wanderlust by traveling to quilt shows and guilds as a teacher and vendor. Besides writing books (she currently has five, with more in the works), she has designed fabrics for Blank Quilting and published in a variety of quilt magazines. When not quilting and writing, you can find RaNae outdoors hiking, kayaking, skiing, and golfing, or indoors playing the piano and cooking. She lives in New York City, just north of Central Park.
