Make fun dot-to-dot quilting patterns with little to no marking on your quilt.

Explore multiple continuous and block-based designs. Learn how to create dynamic designs easily using ruler quilting techniques. Whether you are doing edge-to-edge quilting, blocks, borders, and sashing, you’ll be able to quilt them with confidence using just one ruler. 
All Levels

Required class kit, $22 payable to the instructor in class, includes Connecting the Dots ruler design sheets

Students to Provide

1.  Westalee Design Spacing Gauge

2.  Westalee Design Snowflake 2-Piece Set #2 High Shank

  1.  Sew Steady Free Motion Glider or Supreme Slider
  2.  Marking ruler - 12.5 inches x 3.5 inches

       5.  Fine marking tool - Mechanical Pencil or chalk roller

       6.  Quilting Gloves - Machingers

Workshop Preparation

Preparation – Wash, starch, and press all fabric. Make 8 practice quilt sandwiches to practice stitching templates. Baste with basting spray or use fusible batting. Pin basting will be problematic for ruler quilting. 

  1. Cotton fabric – Cut Ten– 11-inch x 17-inch pieces of solid, medium to dark fabric
  2. Batting of choice – Cut Ten– 13-inch x 19-inches pieces of low/medium loft cotton batting
  3. Muslin for backing – Cut Ten– 13-inch x 19-inches pieces
