Create layered mixed media fusion collages! Using a variety of ephemera including tissue paper, stamps, paper, cheesecloth and more you’ll create interesting surfaces rich with imagery and texture that you can turn into mail-able art postcards, bookmarks, art journals, boxes or you can frame your collage and hang it on the wall to enjoy.

Students to Provide
Fabric: cotton fabric to be used as a backing and/or lining for the box. Can be a print, solid or even just plain muslin. 1/2 yard is plenty.
If not purchasing the kit then students will also need:
Tulle: neutral color - 1 yard.
Timtex: 1 yard (note you can substitute a heavy Pellon interfacing for Timtex)
Mistyfuse fusible web
Miscellaneous ephemera such as postage stamps, skeleton leaves, chipboard letters, decorative papers, printed tissue paper, decorative paper napkins, handmade papers, metal/paper/plastic embellishments, beads, ribbons, candy wrappers, lace, stickers, threads, torn book pages, etc.
Assortment of threads to match your fabrics including black thread
