Huge stars 23" x 20" zig-zag aross the quilt in a deep space setting. Super quick to stitch as the Pieced Hexagon Blocks are HUGE! Makes a nice size lap quilt or 4-block table runner. You will learn and practice the Butterfly Seam and Partial Seam. Project uses the Polygon4 Tool.
Confident Beginner Level
Required class kit, $32 payable to the instructor in class, includes the pattern and Polygon4 Tool.
Students to Provide
Fabric:
- (2) light-ish background fabrics about 1-yard each
- Star background and (1) dark-ish background fabrics about 1-1/2 yards total
- 12-Fat Quarters, assorted colors for star points
Supplies:
- Sewing machine with manual;
- ¼” foot without edge guide (if possible);
- (2) thread colors, one for the top and another in the bobbin and that is visible on the wrong side of fabric;
- seam ripper;
- thread snips;
- rotary cutter, ruler and mat;
- extension cord;
- straight pins;
- finger pressing tool;
- and batting to use as a design wall (optional).
- Also, a chair pad or booster is handy.
