The Beauty of Japanese Textiles, Lecture and Lunch

     Saturday, January 10, 12:30 PM
This is your chance to see, touch and photograph antique and modern Japanese textiles which have been designated for a museum collection. These rarely seen fabrics and garments are from Carolís personal collection, acquired when she lived and studied in Japan. She will tell the story of the creation and uses of these textiles, relating them to life in Japan today.

Carolís presentation includes lunch - Salad, garden greens with vine ripe tomatoes, cucumbers and carrot ribbons with creamy ranch dressing and herb vinaigrette; Freshly baked rolls with butter, Penne pasta with fresh basil, arugula, mushrooms and roasted red peppers with olive oil and garlic; Coffee and tea; and Key Lime pie with raspberry sauce.
